According to the American, he plans to use the tactics that Alistair Overeem implemented in the confrontation with Pavlovich, who dealt with the Russian in his debut fight under the UFC banner.
“I trained with Alistair Overeem when he was preparing for a duel with Sergey Pavlovich,” Razor said in the next edition of the MMA Hour program. “I helped him prepare and I know exactly what level of grappling Alistair had at that time. I saw what he did with Pavlovich – he transferred him and scored. And I’m a much stronger grappler than Alistair was at the time.”
In November 2018, Sergey Pavlovich made an unsuccessful debut in the strongest league in the world, already in the starting five minutes losing by technical knockout to Alistair Overeem, after which he won five knockout victories in the first rounds, having dealt with Derrick Lewis and Tai Tuivasa in the last two fights. At the moment, the Russian occupies the third line in the ranking of the UFC heavyweight division.
