UFC Fight Night 205 main event
The fight will take place on March 27 in Columbus (Ohio, USA) at the Nationwide Arena and will become the main event of the UFC Fight Night 205 tournament. The estimated start of the fight is 03:30 Kyiv time. The fight will be broadcast live on Setanta Sports.
Two fighters in the top 10 heavyweight division No. 4 rating Curtis Blaydes (15-3, 1 NC) and No. 9 Chris Dokos (12-4) will meet in the octagon.
Blades has won five of his last six fights. In February last year, he was knocked out hard by Derrick Lewis, which again knocked Curtis out of the real contenders for the title. But in September, Razor returned, at UFC 266, Blades scored a landslide decision victory over Jairzinho Rozenstruik.
Dokos started his career in the UFC with four knockout wins, but in December he suffered his first defeat in the promotion. In a duel between two notorious knockouts, he was knocked out by Derrick Lewis in the first round.
Prediction for the fight
An excellent wrestler, Blades has an advantage over his opponent in almost everything except knockout skills. Dokos is a good boxer and has a killer punch, but otherwise he has little to offer top-level opponents.
Blades has to force Dokos on constant pressure and convert his takedowns. Due to the physical advantage and grappling, Blades has every chance to wear down the opponent on the ground and at some point finish him ground and pound. However, at the start of the fight, there will still be a chance that Dokos will be able to knock out Razor with a lucky punch.
