Two-time IBF featherweight champion Josh Warrington believes Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) should use his size to physically wear out IBF/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) in a rematch August 20th. About spoiling the fight, he said
talkSPORT.
Warrington, an adherent of the fighter style, advises the 32-year-old big man to knit Usyk in the clinch and hang on him with all his weight there.
Josh believes that the compatriot is quite capable of winning.
It would be better for Joshua to lose to Usyk by knockout – Chisora
“I think he learned a lot from the first fight. Use your attributes, you’re super strong, you’ve got speed, those devastating one-twos. Use it. When in the clinch, wear him down by tying him up, leaning on him and the like,” Warrington said. “He must tire him out, beat him up and not be afraid to throw his right hand. The more he presses, the more opportunities he will have to pile on the right. You have to sit down.”
It’s funny that their fellow countryman does not advise Joshua to press on the Ukrainian in an attempt to demolish it quickly.
