Corey Sandhagen enters the top three in the UFC bantamweight division

Former UFC interim bantamweight title contender Corey Sandhagen, who defeated Marlon Vera over the weekend, pushed the Ecuadorian from third place in the division rankings.

This reshuffle did not affect the position of the former rival of the American, Petr Yan, who remained in fourth position. The compatriots of the Russian, Umar Nurmagomedov and Said Nurmagomedov, who occupy the eleventh and fifteenth lines in the top 15 lightest weight category, also remained in their places.

The headline fight between Marlon Vera and Corey Sandhagen at UFC on ESPN 43 in San Antonio went all the way to a split decision loss for the Ecuadorian fighter.

At the moment, only compatriot Sean O’Malley and Georgian representative Merab Dvalishvili, whom the American managed to challenge, are ahead of Sandhagen in the rating.

Recall that the current UFC bantamweight champion is Aljamain Sterling, who on May 6 at UFC 288 in Newark will defend his title against Henry Cejudo, who is resuming his career after a three-year break.
