The fight for the vacant WBO super featherweight title (up to 59 kg) between Mexican ex-champions Oscar Valdes (30-1, 23 KOs) and Emanuel Navarrete (36-1, 30 KOs) will take place on February 3 in Glendale ( USA). This is reported

It will be Valdez’s first ring appearance since losing on points to Shakur Stevenson in the WBC/WBO title unification bout in April of this year. Subsequently, Stevenson failed the weigh-in before the defense against Robson Conceição in September, because of which he parted with the belts, and soon announced the transition to the next category.

Valdes is the world champion in two categories, in 2016-19. he held the WBO featherweight title (up to 57 kg), having scored 6 successful defenses.
Navarrete is the current WBO champion at 57.2 kg, and before that he held the same title at 55.3 kg. He suffered the only defeat in his professional career in 2012, and ended all 10 title fights in his favor.
