Conor McGregor names the main fight of UFC 300 tournament

Twenty-four hours after UFC head Dana White reported a conversation with Conor McGregor, the Irishman made it clear that he will not be on the card for the UFC 300 anniversary event, which takes place April 13 in Las Vegas.

“Chandler vs. Moicano is now the main event fight of the UFC 300 tournament,” Irish wrote on social media, ending the post with a laughing emoji.

Shortly before White’s words were commented on the main candidate for the fight with McGregor, American Michael Chandler, who expressed hope that the head of the organization will be able to persuade the former double champion of the UFC.

At the same time, the Irish fighter claims that his return to the octagon is delayed through no fault of his own, putting all the responsibility on the strongest league in the world, which allegedly does not want to organize him a fight.

Conor McGregor hasn’t stepped into the octagon since July 2021, when he suffered a severe leg fracture in the final match of his trilogy against Dustin Puryear.
