Conor McGregor has issued a response to Umar Nurmagomedov

Former UFC double champion, Conor McGregor, believes that the difficulties in organizing Umar Nurmagomedov’s fight are, among other things, due to the fact that his younger brother, Usman Nurmagomedov, was involved in a doping scandal, having failed a test for banned substances.

The Irishman made the corresponding statement in a social network, responding to the Russian, who once again complained that none of the potential opponents do not want to fight him.

“I’m often accused of long downtime between fights, but it’s not always my fault,” Nurmagomedov wrote. “I’m ready to fight on February 17 or March 9, but no fighter in the division wants to fight me.”

“Your little brother is on steroids,” McGregor responded in the commentary. “This is the fourth of your family to be caught on steroids in fights.”

“This guy right here who got pierced on steroids is your little brother?” the Irishman added, posting a joint photo of Usman Nurmagomedov and Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.

Some time later, the former UFC champion deleted these posts.

Last November, the head of the California State Athletic Commission, Andy Foster, announced that Usman Nurmagomedov had failed doping tests and was disqualified for six months, and that his fight with Brent Primus, headlining the Bellator 300 tournament in San Diego on October 7, had been ruled a no contest.

In a recent interview, the 25-year-old Russian’s manager, Rizvan Magomedov, said that his charge will retain the championship belt, and the issue of his next opponent will be decided closer to the end of his disqualification.

Umar Nurmagomedov, 28, is riding a four-fight win streak in the UFC, having knocked out Raoni Barcelos as early as the first round in his last fight.
