Conor McGregor has agreed a fight date with the UFC

Former UFC double champion, Conor McGregor, claims he has reached an agreement with the world’s strongest league for his return and will fight Michael Chandler this summer.

The Irishman revealed this in an interview with ESPN.

“I’ve got great news,” McGregor stated. “We got confirmation a few days ago that all the systems are in place – the process is up and running. And Mac, Notorious will be back in the octagon this summer. Chandler this summer. Thumbs up!”

A few days earlier, the Irish fighter admitted that due to the constant postponements of the fight he quit training and began to abuse alcohol, but promised to regroup and resume the training process in the near future.

McGregor also said that in addition to the fight with Michael Chandler is going to hold fights with Dustin Puryear and Nate Diaz.

The former UFC two-weight champion did not specify exactly when the fight with Chandler would take place, but he previously said he plans to compete at UFC 303, which takes place June 29 in Las Vegas.
