Conor McGregor explains why he doesn’t think Khabib Nurmagomedov is a great fighter

Conor McGregor: Khabib is a good fighter, but not a great one

Irish MMA fighter Conor McGregor explained why he does not consider the great Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov.

“He was crying in the cage and begging to be number one in the media ranking haha,” Conor tweeted, hinting at Khabib’s desire to be number one in the UFC regardless of weight class. “Okay, he was a good fighter for a few weeks. Completion of a career means exclusion from all ratings. He ended his career, but cried to be put in first place. He needed to keep quiet about Aldo. Now he is a fool.

Yes, he is a good fighter, not a great one. He has a small number of knockouts, he could not beat at all. Never moved up in weight class and nearly died to make weight. Many times refused fights. He ended his career early. All this says that he is a good fighter, not a great one. He was good for a few months, that’s all.”

33-year-old Khabib Nurmagomedov spent 29 fights in MMA and won all of them, after which he retired. On October 6, 2018, he defeated McGregor.
