This Saturday in Telford (England) a boxing evening will take place, in which the former contender for the world light heavyweight title (up to 79.4 kg) Briton Anthony Yard (22-2, 21 KOs) will fight against the Bulgarian
Stephanie Koikova (14-1, 8 KOs).

boxing scene managed to get confirmation from the parties involved that if Yard wins (and there are no unforeseen incidents like serious injuries), he will enter the ring against the current WBC / IBF / WBO world champion from Canada Artur Beterbiev (18-0, 18 KOs) on January 28 at the Wembley Arena in London (England).

It is also already known that the Beterbiev-Yard fight will be broadcast in the US on the ESPN+ platform. In the UK and Ireland, the show will be shown by BT Sport, but it is not yet clear if it will be PPV or free.

In 2022, Arthur had one fight, adding the WBO title to his collection thanks to a quick victory (TKO 2) over American Joe Smith Jr.

For Yard, the fight against Koikov will be the first this year.

Recall that earlier the fight Beterbiev-Yard was planned to be held on October 22, but a native of the Russian Federation was injured.
