Former interim WBO junior middleweight champion (up to 69.9 kg) Alfredo “El Perro” Angulo (26-8, 21 KOs) will return to boxing almost two years after his last appearance in the ring. On June 11, an almost 40-year-old Mexican veteran will fight a 33-year-old Colombian ex-challenger, now hopelessly far from his former form
Fidel Monterrosa Munoz (40-29-1, 32 KOs).

The fight will take place at the Center Stage in Atlanta (USA).

“I feel good. The body responds to stress as expected. I agreed to the fight shortly before it, but I am very motivated and I feel that I have nothing to lose. I will give my all,” said Angulo. “My opponent is a Colombian and a warrior, he will give a good fight.”

Alfredo says he and his team “have a plan” that this fight is “to look cool and get a bigger fight”.

“After that, I will decide whether to continue,” Angulo added.

At the end of the summer of 2020, Alfredo staged a real war with a compatriot Vladimir Hernandez (12-4, 6 KOs), but lost.
