Colby Covington is found to have a fake injury

After suffering a defeat against Leon Edwards, Colby Covington continues to lead a normal lifestyle that does not support the American’s words about a serious injury suffered in the title fight.

The former UFC welterweight title challenger Gilbert Burns, who, like Covington, resides in Miami, told The AllStar.

“I’ve seen him – he’s walking everywhere like he usually does,” the Brazilian stated. “He showed an X-ray that doesn’t have his name on it. I see him moving around Miami, playing poker, walking everywhere, and I haven’t noticed anything that indicates he’s injured. It’s very hard to believe what Colby says because he’s playing a role.”

“A lot of people say he wasn’t himself in the Leon fight, but I think that’s a credit to Leon, it’s just that people don’t give him credit even though he’s very good. He just turned that guy off, didn’t let him do anything. It looks like Colby is done. He’s never going to fight for a title again.”

Two days earlier, Colby Covington denied that his fight against Shavkat Rakhmonov was in the works, saying he was still nursing a broken leg allegedly suffered in the first minute of the fight against Edwards. At the same time, “Chaos” glimpsed an X-ray and also stated that he cannot not only train but also move freely because he walks in a rigid orthopedic boot.

Recall that the title fight between Leon Edwards and Colby Covington, which headlined UFC 296 in Las Vegas on Dec. 16, went the full distance and ended with the reigning champion winning by unanimous decision.
