Colby Covington: “I beat Usman cleanly in a rematch 3-2 in rounds and the whole confrontation is 6-4 in rounds”

UFC No. 1 Welterweight Colby Covington believes he has defeated Kamaru Usman in their second fight.

The last two weeks have been great for me. Covington said in an interview with Submission Radio. I have just returned from Pensacola, where my friend Stephen Hudson, a ranger, had a wedding. He is my best friend and brother. I returned from Pensacola to Florida, to a truly free American state, to all my mamacitas and beautiful women.

I wanted to wait for a pause after the fight and see what the media would write. And I don’t like what they write. All this nonsense about him being the greatest fighter of all time and so on. All the fans and millions of people around the world saw that I won the fight cleanly – 3-2 in rounds. The third, fourth and fifth rounds are behind me, and if you look critically, I even took the first round. And the whole confrontation is also mine – I won it 6-4 in rounds. I rewatched the fight when I got back to the dressing room, I wanted to understand what happened. And I saw that I had won three clean rounds, not even counting the first. I’m ready for a trilogy if he’s still here and doesn’t retire».

On November 7, Covington lost to Usman via unanimous decision at UFC 268.
