Nearly a month after Ian Machado Garry took the mic and challenged Colby Covington, the former challenger for the UFC welterweight championship belt has decided a potential opponent deserves his attention.
“Ian Garry, you a-hole you cuckold, you wanted my attention, now you got it,” “Chaos” said in a video posted on social media. “Everybody knows why you want to fight me. I’m the biggest star in the division. Everybody knows why you want it, but why do I want it? Why should I go down in the rankings and fight an Irish kid who looks like Casper’s ghost and has a gold-hungry wife?”
According to the American, he is ready to fight the Irishman, provided he and his scandal-ridden wife fulfill three conditions.
“Let’s come to a compromise. If you fulfill the following conditions, we’ll have a fight. One, you and your wife turn on the social media comments. If you turn them off the week of the fight or after I kick your ass, you lose your fee. Two – Leila, you have 60 seconds to convince people and me why this fight should happen. So put your husband in a corner, get on all fours, and start begging. And third, my favorite – I noticed that there was something missing in my promotional integrations, and I decided that this is the place for you, Layla. You want to be a star? You want attention, and I can give it to you, darling.”
Last December, Colby Covington made another unsuccessful attempt at the UFC welterweight championship belt with a five-round unanimous decision loss to Leon Edwards at UFC 296 in Las Vegas, and undefeated Ian Machado Garry picked up his seventh UFC victory in February with a split decision win over Jeff Neal.
