After some verbal sparring Chris Curtis will finally settle the matter in UFC 282.’s octagon.
Curtis’ management company Iridium Sports Agency confirmed that the fight for the middleweight title will be held at Dec. 10, with multiple sources confirming the news.
T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas hosts the
UFC 282. It is not known what the official order of fights will be for ESPN+ PPV.
Buckley called out Curtis in June, sparking a heated interview where Curtis accused Buckley of being a “snake” at the Xtreme Couture facility where they both trained in Las Vegas.
“The coaches warned us that he was a f****** snake,” Curtis told MMA News. “We tried to offer him a hand, he’s a f****** snake. Joaquin Buckley is now f***. It is my goal to be next to Joaquin Buckley in any poll. Any rankings, anywhere. Joaquin Buckley is not on my radar .”

Curtis is trying to bounce back from the short-notice loss against Jack Hermansson. After losing a decision, Curtis almost got in a fight with Jack Hermansson and was harshly criticised for his behavior afterward. He later apologized for letting his temper get the best of him.
Buckley, meanwhile, hopes to rebound from a decision loss to Nassourdine Imavov in his previous outing.
UFC 282 will be headlined by a light-heavyweight rematch between champion Jiri Prochazka, and Glover Teixeira.
