Chisora accepted Fury’s challenge: “Tell me where and when. I’m going to fight Wilder at the very least.”

British brawler-gatekeeper heavyweight veteran Derek Chisora (33-12, 23 KOs) closed a losing streak at the beginning of the month: he won, perhaps, the most significant victory in his career – he killed an even older Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev (29-3, 14 KOs).

Chisora is not going to stop, as before, he is looking for fights only against the elite level of the opposition. It turns out that the reigning WBC champion compatriot Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) wants to have a third fight with him. According to him, now there is a personal enmity between them, and such questions need to be closed in the ring.

Chisora, of course, accepted the challenge: “I want to turn to Tyson Fury, to his promoter Frank Warren and their minions. Wanna make a fight? Then just tell me when and where. And I will be there. Who am I? I am a fighter. A fighter wants one thing – to fight. The fighter wants a fight. That’s all. I hear advice all the time that it’s time for me to retire. But I don’t care. I love to fight. Yes, it’s all business. We would have a cool fight with Fury. I respect Tyson, I respect his family. If he’s serious, then let’s fight. And if not, then I want Deontay Wilder next.”

Chisora is bluffing that they will have a tough fight with Fury – they met twice before. And even in the status of a favorite (in 2011, Chisora approached the first fight without defeat), he lost by a devastating decision of the judges, and during the second fight (2014) he completely capitulated, since the fight was one-wicket.

Chisora decided to address his critics as well: “If you don’t like it, don’t watch it. Do you know why a lot of people don’t want me to fight Wilder? No, not because they are supposedly worried about my health. They don’t care. But simply because they are losers and sissies in life, miserable capitulators who choose simpler options all their lives, and if anything, they immediately capitulate. It’s gross to me. I don’t want to be like that. I like to test myself against the background of something real and dangerous. Instead of advising me, just look at your miserable lives. You don’t even live, you just wait for the time to die. You can’t imagine yourself in my place. Because we are different. Pension? Go f*ck with your pension!”

Earlier this month, promoter Eddie Hearn named four options for Chisora. Interestingly, in August Derek will travel to Saudi Arabia and be in Joshua’s corner during the rematch with Usyk.
