Hala Globus, Lublin, Poland. In the main fight of the evening, the vacant belt of the WBA intercontinental champion in the second middleweight (up to 76.2 kg) was contested by Osleys Iglesias (6-0, 5 KOs) from Cuba and former challenger from Malawi Isaac Chilemba (26-9-3, 10 KOs) ).

The fight expectedly went the whole distance, the favorite simply reworked the inert underdog.

Iglesias immediately set a convenient distance and pace, controlled the course of the fight with a jab, sometimes pinched the African against the ropes, but at the same time he didn’t remember any super efficiency – he shot a lot on defense and past, for some reason he invested in all thrown punches.

Chilemba occasionally answered, but most often it was jabs. In the 6th round, he missed the Iglesias spurt, picked up blows and seemed to be about to capitulate on a stool, claiming that he had injured his hand. The team managed to convince the boxer to continue the fight.

In the 9th round, Iglesias knocked down the opponent (passed the right hook to the ear), but he could not finish off Chilemba. Nevertheless, the Cuban answered the main question – the 12-round distance is not a problem for him.

Judges score: 118-109, 118-109 and 120-107.
