Charles Oliveira gave his prediction for the fight with Arman Tsarukyan

Former UFC lightweight titleholder Charles Oliveira has no doubts that he will be able to earn an early victory over Arman Tsarukyan in a challenger’s bout and earn the right to fight the division’s current champion, Islam Makhachev.

“Even though it’s not the main event, I know it’s going to be a great fight,” the Brazilian told ESPN. “I’m ready for it, I’m looking forward to it, and the question is not whether I can do it, because consider I’ve already done it – went out, knocked out, walked away.”

“We know how it’s going to go and I’m next to fight Islam for the title, that’s undeniable. I got injured last time, but we’re going to do it this time.”

The fight between Charles Oliveira and Arman Tsarukyan will take place on April 13 at UFC 300 in Las Vegas, and the winner of that bout will challenge Islam Makhachev in the summer.

It should be noted that both lightweights have already lost to Makhachev – Tsarukyan lost to his compatriot by unanimous decision in their debut fight under the UFC banner, while Oliveira was choked out by the Russian in a title match for the vacant championship belt.
