Charles Oliveira answered the challenge of Colby Covington

Former UFC lightweight champion, Charles Oliveira, is ready to share the octagon with former UFC welterweight title challenger, Colby Covington, who has indicated a desire to fight him.

The Brazilian fighter stated this in an interview with AgFight.

“Of course, if it makes sense, if it’s something good for me, why not?” said Oliveira. “Covington is a talkative guy, talks a lot, so we’ll see. It’s not about what Charles thinks about it. It’s all about what the UFC thinks about it. We need to sit down and find out.”

Charles Oliveira, 34, had his last fight last month at UFC 300 in Las Vegas, losing a split decision to Russian Arman Tsarukyan in a contender’s bout.

Colby Covington, 36, who has been on a steady win-loss streak for the past five years, made another unsuccessful attempt to win the UFC welterweight championship belt this December, losing a five-round unanimous decision to Leon Edwards.
