Charles Johnson in for Jeff Molina at UFC Vegas 67, faces Jimmy Flick

James Krause students Jeff Molina and Charles Johnson have withdrawn from UFC Vegas 67,. They will now face the returning Jimmy Flick.

Multiple people who have knowledge about the plans of the promotion confirmed that MMA Fighting had the shift. This comes just days after Krause’s students were banned from the UFC pending results of several government investigations into suspicious gambling. Contracts are expected to be in place soon. Verbal agreements have already been made for the fight.

UFC Vegas 67 will take place January. 14 At UFC APEX Las Vegas. Official bout orders for this card have not yet been released.

After scoring his first UFC victory with a split win over Zhalgas Zhumagulov, Johnson makes his third appearance in the octagon. The win followed a debut loss against Muhammad Mokaev for the former LFA champ.

In Johnson’s way is Flick, who makes his first UFC appearance after retiring from the sport. Flick dropped his gloves in 2021 unexpectedly after winning the debut octagon against Cody Durden. Flick expressed concern about his future, but he said he would continue to work as a machine operator. In an interview with MMA Fighting, Flick explained his change of heart as the result of a change in his relationship status and desire to leave a mark on the sport.

UFC Vegas 67 is expected to be headlined by a middleweight fight between Kelvin Gastelum and Nassourdine Imavov.
