Former Bellator champion and former UFC lightweight title contender Michael Chandler has commented on the news that his fight against Conor McGregor will not take place because the Irishman did not return to the American Anti-Doping Agency’s testing pool on time.
According to the American, he himself does not understand what is happening, and would like to know what the former double UFC champion is currently doing, who was supposed to share the octagon with him before the end of the year.
“Guys, you’ve all seen the news: Conor is not in the USADA testing pool,” Chandler said in a video posted to the social media. “December 16, which is the last numbered show of the year, is one hundred and seventy-nine days away, and, ironically, USADA showed up at my door today to add insult to injury. Where are you boy?
“No kidding… WHERE THE HELL IS THIS GUY?” he added in a text comment.
Previously, the fighters took part in the filming of the next season of TUF, the show of which started at the end of last month, and were supposed to end their rivalry with a traditional coaching match, however, before returning to the octagon, Conor McGregor is required to undergo a six-month doping test, which he has already does not have time to do before the UFC 296 tournament, which will be held on December 16 and will be the last event of the organization this year.
The UFC President, commenting on this situation, said that he had no confidence that the fight between McGregor and Chandler would really take place.
