Yesterday, the first press conference of the star antagonists took place – it was a duel of views on the ages! The undisputed super middleweight champion Mexican Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs) and veteran from Kazakhstan Gennady Golovkin (42-1-1, 37 KOs) will fight for the third fight on September 17 this year. Like the previous two fights (first and second), the fight will take place in Las Vegas (USA) on T Mobile Arena.

Canelo still insists on the fact that for him this fight is a personal matter: “Forecast? I will knock him out. Now he supposedly shows respect, but I heard what he said about me. Yeah, yeah, this dude is always talking shit about me. And now he is silent. He teased the lion, and here I am. He always poses as a good guy in front of the fans. But in fact, he is an asshole. I’m not trying to play a part. I am who I am.”

According to Canelo, for Golovkin, the upcoming fight is a chance to snatch one last cool fee before retirement: “He is a fake. Throughout his career, he flirted with Mexican fans, talked about “Mexican style.” Everyone does this because they believe that it is the Mexicans who buy the pay-per-view in the main. And so it is. Like everyone, he used Mexican colors for profit. Just business. And I am a real Mexican, I fight for my people. And for me, every fight is a fight for legacy. He is simply interested in the last solid fee in his career. Nothing else”.

Canelo recalled the difference in the level of opposition since their last face-to-face fight: “You yourself compare my opponents after the fight with GGG with those with whom he boxed …”

Show promoter Eddie Hearn believes the Golovkin-Canelo fight is 10 times bigger than Crawford-Spence. And WBC President Mauricio Suleiman is confident that Alvarez is still the leader of P4P. The thing is that in May he lost in the light heavyweight limit to the champion from the Russian Federation Dmitry Bivol.
