Canelo Alvarez apologizes to Lionel Messi

UFC fighter Santiago Ponzinibbio will not have to go to the bodyguards of Lionel Messi, as the eminent Mexican boxer Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, who threatened the Argentine because of the Mexican flag T-shirt thrown on the floor, realized his mistake and apologized to the world football star.

“The last few days I have been so carried away by passion and love for my country that I have made inappropriate comments for which I want to apologize to Messiah and the people of Argentina,” Canelo wrote on the social network. “Every day we learn something new and I am no exception. I wish both teams great success in the upcoming matches and we will continue to support Mexico until the very end.”

Alvarez allowed himself to threaten Messi after a video appeared on the network where the Argentina national team in the locker room celebrates the victory over the Mexican team at the World Cup in Qatar, and on the floor there is a T-shirt that the eminent Argentine received from the rival captain. Canelo wrote that Messi, who scored the first goal of the match, “wiped the floor with our flag”, and also advised the football player to “pray to God” that he would not find him.

Shortly thereafter, UFC welterweight Santiago Ponzinibbio spoke in defense of his compatriot, who advised the Mexican to abandon his aggressive intentions.
