Can not be! Broner has a new opponent – with a beautiful “inflated” record

This has never happened before, and here it is again.

The former world champion in four categories, American Adrian Broner (34-4-1, 24 KOs), had another, already the second change of an opponent.

Recall that initially Broner was supposed to return to the ring in a duel against Ukrainian Ivan Redkach on February 18 in Atlanta (USA). Shortly after the announcement, the fight was moved a week later, and recently it turned out that Redkach would not be able to enter the ring due to disagreements with the promoter.

A replacement was found in the person of 39-year-old American veteran Henry Lundy. He even promised to unceremoniously beat Adrian. But instead of the fight, he received a disqualification from the California State Athletic Commission, because he signed up to fight Browner, having a contract for a fight on February 4 against Ernesto Mercado. Lundy explained this by saying that he received a cut in training, which would not have had time to heal until the first weekend of February, and allegedly even provided the organizers with supporting documents. Did not help.

The company BLK, representing the interests of Broner, do not despair. A new rival has already been found – this is a certain American
Michael Williams Jr. (21-1, 13 KOs). The owner of an absolutely inflated record with the only decent opponent in the face
John Bausa. Naturally, Williams lost to him – TKO 4 at the end of 2021.
