The newly-made WBO world middleweight champion (up to 72.6 kg) Kazakhstani Zhanibek Alimkhanuly (12-0, 8 KOs) is going to lay his hands on all the prestigious titles in the category next year. And then move to a division higher, at 76.2 kg, and make a rustle already there.

“Next year, when I get all four belts (middleweight), I will fight in the super middleweight division,” said Alimkhanuly. – Remember me! I am Zhanibek and I am a middleweight nightmare!”

It should be noted that at the moment Alimkhanuly’s colleagues in the middleweight champion cohort are his senior compatriot Gennady Golovkin, who owns the WBA and IBF titles, as well as the American Jermall Charlo, who owns the WBC title.

At the same time, Golovkin will hold the next fight at 76.2 kg against the absolute champion from Mexico, Canelo Alvarez. Gennady has not yet announced his intentions to give up his belts.

Recall that Alimkhanuly became a full-fledged champion at the end of last week without a fight: the organization raised the status of the Kazakhstani, who previously owned the “temporary” title, after Demetrius Endred finally switched to weight higher.
