Brazilian Istela Nunes, who was seriously injured in the first minute of the fight with Russian Victoria Dudakova at UFC on ESPN 49 in Las Vegas, avoided a broken arm.
According to x-rays posted on the social network, Nunes suffered a so-called posterior dislocation of the elbow joint, which was later reset. Ligament injury and the need for surgery are not reported.
Recall that the fight in the flyweight division, which became part of the preliminary card of the event, ended already at the 34th second after Nunes unsuccessfully leaned on her hand during the takedown of Dudakova and was injured.
Due to the inability of the opponent to continue the fight, the 24-year-old Russian won in her debut fight under the banner of the strongest league in the world, saying that she would like to return to the octagon on October 21 at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi.
Having failed in the confrontation with Dudakova, 30-year-old Istela Nunes lost the fourth fight in a row in the UFC, not having won a single victory under the banner of the organization.
