UFC 277 co-main event

The fight will take place on July 31 in Dallas (Texas, USA) at the American Airlines Center arena and will become a co-main event of the UFC 277 PPV tournament. The approximate start of the fight is 06:30 Kyiv time. The fight will be broadcast live on Setanta Sports.

Brandon Moreno (19-6) and Kai Cara-France (24-9, 1 NC) will have a rematch, the winner of which will become the Interim UFC Flyweight Champion against regular champ Deiveson Figueiredo. Recall that in December 2019, Moreno celebrated a victory by unanimous decision over Cara France.

If Moreno wins the upcoming fight, he will probably fight Figueiredo for the fourth time. The Mexican spent his last three fights just against Figueiredo. In December 2020, their fight was drawn, in July 2021, Moreno took the belt from the Brazilian, finishing him by choke in the 3rd round. But in January at UFC 270, Figueiredo regained the title by a close decision.

Cara France is on a three win streak, knocked out Rogerio Bontorin, Cody Garbrandt and passed Askar Askarov on points in March.

Prediction for the fight

Moreno is more experienced and looks like a more versatile fighter. In addition, the Mexican fighter has already defeated his opponent and is much larger than him.

But it is unlikely that Cara France will allow itself to be easily defeated. Since the defeat of Moreno, he has clearly progressed. The New Zealander can cause a lot of problems for the favorite by approaching him and firing at him with powerful and fast blows. Kara-France has a very heavy punch, which his opponent does not have. Kai has learned to defend well against takedowns, and if he does not allow Moreno to go to the legs, then we consider the probability of his victory quite high. We do not rule out even a knockout in the performance of Cara France, despite the fact that Moreno holds a blow well and has not yet finished his career.

Cara France wins by knockout in the 3rd round
