Bobby Green accused Arman Tsarukyan’s team of being on offense

UFC on ESPN 52 contestant Bobby Green has accused the event’s headliner, Arman Tsarukyan, of assaulting him in the hotel lobby where the fighters’ traditional media interaction was taking place.

The American fighter posted a series of videos on social media, one of which shows the Russian fighter and members of his team emotionally interacting with security personnel.

“I don’t start fights with anyone, but if you started this de***ing, I will definitely finish it,” Green stated. “It’s just starting and it could end up in jail. This guy ran up to me and I punched one of his buddies – you don’t need to play these games with me, bro”

“They were cool with attacking me alone, but when I came back with my buddies, they immediately turned on their backsides. Now that security’s here, they’re playing tough again.”

Later, the American’s management released a statement in which it repeated the version voiced by Green.

“While speaking to the press, our client Bobby Green was unjustifiably attacked by a member of Arman Tsarukyan’s team. He attempted to avoid conflict but found himself in a position where he had to defend himself and his coach from a superior aggressive group,” the statement reads.

Representatives of the Russian side have not yet commented on the incident.

As a reminder, Arman Tsarukyan will fight American Benil Dariush in the main event of the event, while Bobby Green’s opponent will be his compatriot Jalen Turner.
