WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol (21-0, 11 KOs), having declassed the unbeaten Gilberto Ramirez, is aiming for only one option in the near future: a fight with IBF, WBC and WBO champion Artur Beterbiev (18-0, 18 KO) for informal title #1 in the division.

Bivol stated that he “beat the best guy in the world (Saul Alvarez) and was happy.”

“I proved that I can beat the best. And now he beat another one of those who do not know what defeat is, ”he added. “Now I want another guy who doesn’t know how to lose either.” It means a lot to me.”

“I have a goal: I want to become the absolute champion,” he said at the post-match press conference. — I prefer to fight for another belt [чем любые другие варианты]. It all depends on me”.

However, Bivol specified, if he is not given that chance within four to five months, he will agree to some other fight. Who it could be, if not Beterbiev, Dmitry did not say.

Regarding the rematch against Saul Alvarez, he said he would discuss moving to 76.2kg to fight for Saul’s four super middleweight belts (who recently showed his arm after surgery).

“But remember that I am still a light heavyweight. This is my weight, ”he said, as if implying that he didn’t really want to dry himself to the 2nd average even for the sake of fighting for the absolute.
