WBA super light heavyweight champion (up to 79.4 kg) Russian Dmitry Bivol (20-0, 11 KOs) would be “extremely interested” in holding a duel against the winner of the upcoming Beterbiev-Smith unification for the WBO, WBC and IBF titles, which will take place next night in New York (USA).
About it in an interview
Sky Sports said the Russian promoter of Bivol from the company “World of Boxing” Andrey Ryabinsky.
“We really like both of these fighters (Beterbiev and Smith),” says Ryabinsky. Bivol would be extremely interested in fighting the winner of their fight, especially if that winner is Artur Beterbiev. The fight between Bivol and Beterbiev is the long-awaited dream of all boxing fans.”

At the same time, Top Rank President Todd Duboeuf, for his part, emphasized that, despite the company’s long-standing interest in organizing the Bivol-Beterbiev fight, there are other options for both boxers.
In particular, the American functionary named the mandatory WBO challenger British Anthony Yard (for the winner of the Beterbiev-Smith fight, as the head of TR Bob Arum had previously spoken about), as well as the ex-world champion below the Mexican Gilberto Ramirez (for Bivol).
