Beterbiev – Bivol. Bob Arum called the condition for the fight

The fight for the title of absolute light heavyweight champion (up to 79.4 kg) between Dmitry Bivol (20-0, 11 KOs) and Artur Beterbiev (18-0, 18 KOs) can take place, but only on condition that Bivol’s side, in particular his British co-promoter, Eddie Hearn, will agree to host the fight on ESPN.

About it in an interview
boxing scene Top Rank CEO Bob Arum said.

Note that Dmitry’s last performances were broadcast by DAZN streaming, to which Bob always had a skeptical-negative attitude.

“Now that Beterbiev is already known to the public and so many people have seen him in action, we definitely will not arrange a fight (with Bivol) in the “dead zone” (play on words: DeAd ZoNe – DAZN, approx. WMMAA) that nobody watches,” says Arum.

“So, again, we’ll see. I think when the time comes, even Eddie (Hearn) will be interested in Bivol fighting Beterbiev in front of a large audience, ”added the functionary.

At the same time, Arum once again noted that, most likely, Beterbiev will fight the next fight against Briton Anthony Yard in London (England) at the O2 arena. An agreement on this with the British promoter Frank Warren has already been reached.

Earlier, Bivol’s Russian co-promoter Andrei Ryabinsky expressed his readiness to take on the organization of the fight with Beterbiev.
