UFC lightweight number four, Benil Dariush, doesn’t understand what Dustin Poirier means when he says he’s not thrilled about the prospect of fighting him.
“I would like him to be more clear about what exactly he is not happy about?” Dariush told Submission Radio. “My fights aren’t spectacular enough, he doesn’t like my style, or is my name not big enough? If it’s the name, then he should consider resigning, because the division is full of real beasts that are young, hungry, and out to kill, and there aren’t that many Michael Chandlers left – how many more of these fights can he get? He’s going to have to fight one of the guys on the rise, and I’m in charge of those guys. Therefore, fight, or step aside and do something else, especially since he is quite successful outside the octagon.
A few days earlier, Dustin Poirier revealed that he was not interested in fighting Benil Dariush and Charles Oliveira and that he would like to fight for the championship belt or get a big fight.
