Interim WBC super middleweight champion American David Benavidez (26-0, 23 KOs) claims that he will beat WBA Super light heavyweight belt holder Russian Dmitry Bivol (21-0, 11 KOs).

The fighters know each other well, having previously sparred together. It is for this reason that Benavidez
sure in his power: “I spent a lot of time with him in sparring. And I know what happened during our confrontations. It is for this reason that they claim that I can beat him. Even knockout.

According to Benavidez, WBC, IBF and WBO light heavyweight champion from Canada “Artur Beterbiev reveals too much during the fight. Including he has a fully opened body under the bodypunch. Therefore, I feel that in a fight with him I will have many chances. I would like to fight him in the future. It can be very shocking if combined. But I understand that in light heavyweight it will be very difficult. I would like to first have one intermediate fight at this weight, and only then go to the top. It seems to me that at 79.4 kg I will be even stronger and faster.”

In the meantime, Benavidez is preparing for a fight with compatriot Caleb Plant – they will meet on March 25 in Las Vegas (USA). The other day they almost got into a fight before the start of the press conference: video. After that, Benavidez commented on the conflict with Plant: “I threaten him, and he thinks about my pants.”
