Reigning Bellator middleweight champion Johnny Eblin has no doubt that he is the best middleweight in the world, and not Israel Adesanya, who holds the UFC title in this weight class.

Johnny Eblin, 31, won the championship belt last June with a unanimous decision win over Gegard Mousasi, and made a successful title defense three months ago with a dominant unanimous decision victory over Anatoly Tokov. The American fighter will fight his next fight on September 23 at the Bellator tournament in Dublin against Briton Fabian Edwards, who defeated Gegard Mousasi in the Candidates match the day before.
Israel Adesanya, 33, regained the UFC championship belt in April by knocking out Alex Pereira in the second round in an immediate rematch, and the Nigerian’s next opponent will be determined in a contender fight between Robert Whittaker and Dricus Du Plessis, although the end of the trilogy with the Brazilian cannot be ruled out either.
