Bellator 291 results: Amosov unified titles, Popov and Magomedsharipov win

Ukrainian fighter Yaroslav Amosov successfully unified the current and interim Bellator welterweight titles with a dominant victory over American Logan Storley at Bellator 291 in Dublin.

The fight, which became the main event of the Irish event, went all the way and ended with the victory of the defending champion by unanimous decision with a score of 50-45 three times. Already in the first round, Amosov showed good movement and impressive striking technique, throwing his opponent in a series of three, four, and sometimes five punches.

This pattern of battle persisted throughout all five rounds, and the Ukrainian managed not only to stop all Storley’s attempts to take the fight to the ground, but also to mark himself with several successful takedowns.

In the second most important event of the event, Canadian Jeremy Kennedy defeated the Portuguese Pedro Carvalho three times by unanimous decision with a score of 30-27.

Among other results of the event, we note the successful performances of Russian fighters Oleg Popov and Khasan Magomedsharipov.

31-year-old Oleg Popov made his debut in the heavyweight division of the organization, winning by unanimous decision against Turkish representative Gokhan Sarikam, and 22-year-old featherweight Khasan Magomedsharipov chalked up his third win in Bellator, finishing with a technical knockout of Brazilian Rafael Hudson already in the first round.
