Belal Muhammad: “UFC hates Tony Ferguson”

The number three of the UFC welterweight division, Belal Muhammad, shared his opinion on the upcoming fight between Tony Ferguson and Paddy Pimblett, the organization of which angered the fans of the American fighter, who is going through bad times in his career.

“I think the UFC hates Tony Ferguson,” Muhammad said in response to fan questions on social media. “Tony is in such a hole that he was probably told, ‘retire,’ and he refused. Tony’s on a six-fight losing streak, Paddy’s on a six-fight winning streak, and Tony can still win, but he’s looked terrible in his last few fights. He was slow, his jaw wasn’t too strong.”

“Obviously the UFC is trying to promote Paddy and they tried to give him a ranked fighter without giving him a ranked fighter, if you know what I mean. I think Paddy is going to win this fight. Tony Ferguson was just finished by Bobby Green and I’m sure Paddy’s grappling is better than Bobby Green’s.”

As a reminder, the lightweight fight between Ferguson and Pimblett will be part of UFC 296, which takes place on December 16 in Las Vegas.
