UFC welterweight number three, Belal Muhammad, shared his opinion about the upcoming fight between Shavkat Rakhmonov and Kelvin Gastelum, which was recently officially announced by the strongest league in the world.
“I think this is an interesting fight,” said the American fighter, communicating with fans on the social network. “He takes Shavkat to a new level. Prior to that, his ranking opponents were Neil Magny and Jeff Neal, but Gastelum is a big name, he fought for the middleweight title and is now back in the welterweight division. The tournament will take place on Mexico’s Independence Day and it’s a big platform for Kelvin.”
“Gastelum is predominantly a boxer, as is Jeff Neal, who is left-handed, so for Shavkat this is kind of a similar fight. I know that Gastelum knows how to fight, but he hardly uses it. He’s hard to finish and I’m not sure if Shavkat will finish him, but he can win this fight because he’s definitely very good.”
Recall that the welterweight fight between Shavkat Rakhmonov and Kelvin Gastelum will be the second most important event of the UFC tournament, which will be held on September 16 in Las Vegas.
