Belal Muhammad is outraged by Colby Covington's second place in the UFC rankings

Belal Muhammad, ranked third in the UFC welterweight rankings after defeating Gilbert Burns, is outraged by the fact that he failed to oust former interim division champion Colby Covington from second position.

“Funny how Colby is still number two,” Muhammad wrote on the social media. “You can invent any numbers you like – soon there will be a mark “Champion” in front of my name”

Colby Covington fought his last fight over a year ago, defeating Jorge Masvidal by unanimous decision, and he has not a single victory to his credit against a fighter who is currently in the top 15 of the division. However, he will be the next opponent for defending champion Leon Edwards, while Belal Muhammad will challenge the winner of the title fight.

Recall that the fight between Belal Muhammad and Gilbert Burns, which became the second most important event of the UFC 288 tournament in Newark last weekend, went the whole distance and ended with the victory of the American fighter by unanimous decision.
