Russian light heavyweight Azamat Murzakanov will return to the octagon on September 2 at UFC Fight Night 226 in Paris against Swiss representative Volkan Ozdemir.
The organization of the fight was reported by informed sources close to the situation.
Last October, 33-year-old Volkan Ozdemir suffered his third defeat in his last four matches, losing by unanimous decision to Nikita Krylov in three rounds. Prior to this, the Swiss returned his career to a successful track after two defeats in a row, defeating Paul Craig by unanimous decision.
Azamat Murzakanov, 34, is undefeated and is on a three-fight streak in the UFC, winning a unanimous decision over Dustin Jacoby in his last fight.
Volkan Ozdemir and Azamat Murzakanov are currently ranked eighth and eleventh in the UFC light heavyweight division, respectively.
