Russian heavyweight Muhumat Vakhaev punched US ACA heavyweight champion Timothy Johnson during an interview with the promotion’s press office.
The duel between them will take place on November 19 in Minsk at the ACA 132 tournament. The video of the incident was posted on the promotion’s Instagram.
The conflict began after Vakhaev called on Johnson to apologize for the fact that the American had previously called him and another Russian fighter Alikhan Vakhaev boyfriends. Johnson refused to apologize and said he would smear Muhumat. After that, Vakhaev hit the opponent. Johnson fell from his chair, wanted to answer, but the fight was prevented by ASA employees.
The 31-year-old Vakhaev has 10 wins and 4 losses in MMA. Previously, he was the DIA and ACA heavyweight champion and is on a streak of eight wins. Johnson, 35, has 15 wins, 5 losses and 1 draw.
