On June 19, in New York (USA), a boxing evening was held by the Top Rank promotion company, the main event of which was a light heavyweight unification fight (up to 79.4 kg) between WBC / IBF world champion Artur Beterbiev (18-0,18 KOs ) from Canada and the WBO title holder American Joe Smith Jr. (28-4, 22 KOs).
Beterbiev won a quick early victory in the 2nd round. Before stopping the fight, the referee counted the knockdown to Smith three times.
