Arnold Allen does not believe in Movsar Yevloyev’s championship

No. 6 ranked UFC welterweight Arnold Allen, who lost a unanimous decision to Movsar Yevloyev in his previous fight, doesn’t think the Russian can expect to be the division’s champion.

“It’s a tough question – I’m not too confident that Yevloyev can be champion,” the Brit said on another edition of The MMA Hour program. “Obviously he’s ahead of me and he’s doing well, but I feel he’s got some tough fights ahead of him. There are guys like Volkanovski and Topuria fighting for the title, and honestly, I don’t see how he can beat them. In terms of styles, and the way they fight, I think they’re a very poor matchup for him.”

Movsar Evloev moved up to No. 5 in the welterweight rankings after his win over Allen, and a title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Elijah Topuria, the winner of which the Russian wants to see as his next opponent, will headline this weekend’s UFC 298 event in Anaheim.
