Arman Tsarukyan named the next opponent in the UFC

The eighth number of the UFC lightweight rating, Arman Tsarukyan, commented on the information that his next opponent will be American Benil Dariush, who occupies the fourth line in the division ranking.

“Yes, they are working on it, but I don’t have exact information yet,” the Russian said in an interview with Submission Radio. “He wants to fight at the end of the year and I think our fight will take place”

“In the top 15, Dariusz is the nicest and most humble guy, and I know him personally. We used to train and have lunch together once, so I know him as a very nice guy, but that’s a sport. He is ready to fight anyone, as I am, and I know that he will accept the fight with me, because it makes sense for him – he lost the last fight.

Despite his willingness to fight Dariush, Tsarukyan considers Michael Chandler his most preferred opponent.

“Of course, if the UFC gives me Chandler, this is the best fight for me. He’s on the hype, he’s got a big name – if I beat him, I’ll definitely be the number one contender. Many people will watch this fight. Chandler is another level in terms of fame. He talks a lot in the press, is active on social networks, but Dariush doesn’t talk, he just wants to fight.”

“I don’t believe Chandler vs McGregor is going to happen, at least not this year. I saw Chandler write to Islam, he wants a title fight, but it’s easy money for Islam – I don’t want to see this fight. I will be very angry if it is organized.”

26-year-old Arman Tsarukyan scored a second victory in a row on June 17, finishing with a TKO in the third round of Joaquim Silva, and 34-year-old Benil Dariush broke an eight-fight streak a week earlier, in a potential challenger’s fight, losing by TKO in the first round to Charles Oliveira.
