No. 4 ranked UFC lightweight Arman Tsarukyan has informed his fans that his next fight will be announced soon.
“Big news is coming,” the Russian wrote on social media.
Given Tsarukyan’s position in the rankings, the big news can only be a fight against one of the members of the division’s top three, which includes Charles Oliveira, Justin Gaethje, and Dustin Porier, respectively, or current UFC champion Islam Makhachev.
The most likely option looks like a fight with Puryear, who, in fact, has no one to fight but the Russian, as the American does not claim a title fight, and has already met with all the other members of the top five.
Arman Tsarukyan, 27, picked up his third straight win earlier this month, knocking out American Benil Dariush in the 64th second of the fight.
