Arman Tsarukyan awaits invitation to the Kremlin

UFC lightweight division number four Arman Tsarukyan, who is with Fedor Emelianenko’s team conducting the first stage of preparation for his fight against Charles Oliveira in Prielbrusie, responded to the question of whether he can be considered a Russian fighter.

“I am one hundred percent a Russian fighter,” Tsarukyan said in an interview with the channel “Ushataika”. “I grew up here, trained here, I train here, went to school here, went to university here with a Russian passport. I just speak for Armenia, as there are no Armenian fighters in the UFC. I want to represent Armenia and in parallel Russia, of course”

Moreover, Tsarukyan hopes to one day receive an invitation to the Kremlin and meet with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.

“If they tell me to choose one city from which you will not leave for the rest of your life, I would choose Moscow. Moscow has everything you want – money, infrastructure, training, people, a lot of fellow countrymen, it’s a big city. I haven’t been to the Kremlin – Vladimir Vladimirovich hasn’t invited me yet. If I win the belt, maybe he’ll call me. I’m waiting, Vladimir Vladimirovich!”

Recall that the challenger fight between Charles Oliveira and Arman Tsarukyan will take place on April 13 at UFC 300 in Las Vegas, and the winner of this confrontation will challenge the current champion of the division, Islam Makhachev, in the summer.
