Arman Tsarukyan and Damir Ismagulov: words before the fight

Russian UFC lightweights Arman Tsarukyan and Damir Ismagulov, who will split the octagon this weekend, do not plan to leave the fate of the fight in the hands of the judges.

Damir Ismagulov:

“He didn’t meet any good fast strikers. He has everything, but we understand that maybe he is better in terms of wrestling, and I am better in terms of striking, but in a fight everything will be seen. Whoever approached the battle better, who is better prepared, who will think faster, it will be easier for him. Armand is a good opponent and I’m sure it will be a tough fight for me and even more so for him.”

“To be honest, I’m going to finish it. In this fight, I need to set the pace in order to finish it ahead of schedule. Because in connection with recent events, I understand that the judges are clamping down somewhere, somewhere they are not giving back, and of course, we need to work on this. I think we’ll catch him on something, on some hit. If it doesn’t work out, then in our own way we’ll beat that and that’s it ”

Arman Tsarukyan:

“I can box with a drummer, wrestle with a wrestler. Therefore, it is not a fact that I will fight – if I succeed in the standing position, and I interrupt him, I will not even translate him. Why should I waste my energy when I can interrupt him in the standing position? I think the level of my striking is no worse than his. This time I don’t want to let the judges decide who wins. I want to knock out or choke Damir. First of all, I want to win the fight, no matter how, but fifty thousand dollars as a bonus will make me feel good.”

Recall that the fight between Arman Tsarukyan and Damir Ismagulov will be the second most important event of the UFC Fight Night 216 tournament, which will be held on December 17 in Las Vegas and will be the last event of the strongest league in the world this year.
