The light heavyweight fight between Anthony Smith and Ryan Spann has been added to the card of the UFC Fight Night 225 tournament, which will take place on August 26 in Singapore.
The organization of the fight was reported by informed sources close to the situation.
The light heavyweight fight will be a rematch – in September 2021, Anthony Smith scored a third stoppage victory in a row, finishing Ryan Spann with a rear naked choke in the first round, after which he suffered two defeats, losing by technical knockout to Magomed Ankalaev and a unanimous decision to Johnny Walker.
Ryan Spann closed the loss with two wins, finishing with a choke Ion Cutelabu and knocking out Dominic Reyes before losing by triangle choke to Nikita Krylov.
Anthony Smith and Ryan Spann are currently ranked seventh and tenth in the UFC light heavyweight division, respectively.
