UFC on ESPN 35 tournament bout

The fight will take place on May 1 in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA) at the UFC Apex mini-arena and will become the co-main event of the UFC on ESPN 35 tournament. The estimated start of the fight is 04:00 Kyiv time. The fight will be broadcast live on Setanta Sports.

43-year-old former UFC heavyweight champion Andrey Orlovsky (33-20, 2 NC) will make his 38th fight with the promotion, replacing Justin Tafa and facing Jake Collier (13-6) in the Octagon.

Orlovsky is currently on a three win streak with Chase Sherman, Carlos Filipe and Jared Vanderaa. The veteran failed to knock out any of the trio, and in February at UFC 271 he beat Vanderaa with a big scratch only by a split decision. Less than a year before, Orlovsky lost via submission to Tom Aspinall.

Collier has a 2-2 record in his last four fights, with three of those opponents mentioned above. Aspinallu Jake lost by knockout, Filipe beat him by split decision, and in January, Collier managed to choke Sherman in the first round.

Prediction for the fight

Collier is a versatile fighter, but of a very average level. Orlovsky can still use his technique and footwork to rework him in the standing position. It is likely that Collier will rely on pressure, clinches and takedowns.

But Orlovsky is still not easy to transfer to the ground. If Pitbull keeps his distance from the opponent, it is very likely that he will be able to win his 23rd UFC victory. However, it is unlikely that he will have an easy walk.
