Andrei Koreshkov has been ranked among the top three Bellator welterweights

Former Bellator welterweight champion Andrey Koreshkov improved his position in the organization’s official rankings, closing in on the top three fighters in the division.

The Russian moved from fourth to third, taking the place of Michael Page, who moved up to fifth and is rumored to be in the UFC soon.

Only Jason Jackson, who will challenge the division’s current champion, Yaroslav Amosov, on Nov. 17, and former interim titleholder Logan Storley are ahead of “The Spartan.” Koreshkov and Storley currently have no scheduled fights, so their fight looks like the most logical one in this situation.

In July of this year, 33-year-old Andrey Koreshkov earned his fourth straight victory with a split decision win over Lorenz Larkin, in the first confrontation with whom he suffered his last loss in the organization.
