Anatoly Malykhin knocked out Arzhan Bullar in the fight for the title of ONE Championship

Russian fighter Anatoly Malykhin successfully unified the ONE Championship heavyweight titles with a stoppage victory over reigning division champion Arzhan Bullar at One Friday Fights 22 in Singapore.

The Russian from the first seconds of the fight seized the initiative, depriving the opponent of space and forcing him to cling to the ropes. Despite several solid hits to Bullar’s head and body, Malykhin decided not to force things, obeying his cornermen, who urged him “not to rush”.

In the second round, the Russian fighter stepped up the pressure, focusing on body shots, but the Canadian of Indian origin managed to hold out until the third five-minute period, at the beginning of which Malykhin pinned the opponent in the corner and unleashed a hail of blows on him, after which the referee had to get Bullar twice because of ropes and show him a yellow card.

After the fight was resumed for the second time, Malykhin, having received a dominant position, put a decisive end to the fight, finishing off the beaten and exhausted champion on the ground.

By unifying the interim and reigning heavyweight titles, the Russian, who also holds the light heavyweight belt, became a full double ONE Championship champion.
